Senior Bookkeeper (Fulltime)

Due to continued growth and expansion, Liahona is recruiting a Senior Bookkeeper who will bring their experience and a team-oriented approach to our growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute full cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense management.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Perform short-term cash flow forecasting to aid in financial planning and decision-making.
- Handle regulatory reporting and remittances, including but not limited to source deductions, HST, and EHT.
- Continuously monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations and suggest improvements to financial processes.
- Provide timely financial reporting, including month-end, quarterly, and year-end income statements, balance sheets, and the closing of sub-ledgers in the G/L.
- Oversee accounts receivable, borrower payments and Issuer commissions
- Assist in updating and maintaining policy and procedure documentation.
Qualifications:
- College Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive bookkeeping experience.
- Experience in wealth management or financial industry would be a strong asset.
- CPB (Certified Professional Bookkeeper) designation is preferred.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- High levels of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning to identify underlying principles and facts.
- Proven ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-changing environment.
- Self-disciplined with a sense of urgency for completing critical tasks.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/QuickBooks Desktop or similar accounting software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with strong intermediate Excel skills.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
