Aaron Rumley

Aaron received a B.A. and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the top-ranked accounting school in the western United States. In addition to Aaron’s designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant, he is also licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the United States and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Aaron began his accounting career with KPMG, LLP where he provided financial accounting and taxation services to international and local companies. After leaving KPMG, he worked in various management positions in several publicly traded U.S. corporations.

Aaron returned to Canada in 2003 to work in the Public Accounting Sector. Besides his involvement as a partner in Rumley Holmes LLP, Certified Professional Accountants, he is registered as a Dealing Representative after successfully completing the Exempt Market Products Course through the Investment Funds Institute of Canada.

Aaron is actively involved in the Barrie community and has served on several not-for-profits boards.

Robert Chaggares

Rob graduated with Distinction from the University of Toronto’s B. Comm program specializing in accounting and economics. Following his university studies, Rob began his career in public accounting with Ernst & Young, LLP in Toronto where he gained valuable audit and accounting experience, successfully passed his exams and earned his designation as a Chartered Accountant (CA).

In addition to his CA designation, Rob is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and has taken several courses and is registered as a Dealing Representative for Liahona Capital Inc., the group's registered Exempt Market Dealer.

As one of the founders of Liahona Mortgage Investment Corp., Rob has been involved in the management and running of the MIC.

Rob and his family have always been involved in the community in which they live and work. They volunteer their time and talents to support many different causes and programs that they are passionate about. Rob serves his community in many capacities, including being involved on a number of boards for non-profit organizations. Currently, Rob is serving as the Chair of the Advisory Committee for Smart Commute Central York (a program run by the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce). Rob, his wife Jennifer, and their four children live in East Gwillimbury.

After graduating with a B.A. Economics from Trent University John completed a 3-year Journalism Diploma in Toronto.

He has more than 15 years’ management experience with Bell Canada, domestically and internationally. Working in positions of increasing responsibility, John has served for more than 10 years as a CEO. Internationally, he has worked and lived in such places as Hong Kong, Egypt, Bahrain and Dubai.

He is the President and CEO of Liahona Capital and was recently appointed CEO of Liahona Insurance and Private Wealth Inc.

John and his wife Marg have been married for 30 years and are proud to have two accomplished sons: Willem, a recently-married physiotherapist and Ethan, attending Osgoode Hall Law School.

Cory graduated with distinction from York University specializing in Political Science, Labour Relations and Economics. He began his career with RBC as a licensed Investment Representative where he acquired extensive securities and banking experience. He successfully transitioned into the compliance world as a Corporate Auditor for RBC, BMO, CIBC and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Cory brings a vast amount of knowledge to the team in the areas of Audit, Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering. He is Liahona Capital’s Chief Compliance Officer and was appointed Vice President Operations in January 2021.

Cory and his wife Angela have been married for over 20 years and have two daughters (Alicia, studying Global and International Studies at Carleton University, and Hailey who is a student at Bear Creek Secondary School). Cory and his family enjoy travelling, camping and spending time with friends and family.

Karen joined Liahona in 2014 as Office Manager/Administration, responsible for accounting and administration. She brings her knowledge from a diverse background including the Real Estate Law industry. Also, she is registered as a Dealing Representative after successfully completing the Exempt Market Products Course through the Investment Funds Institute of Canada.

Karen’s strong 25-year background is an asset to our team.

Michelle joined Liahona Capital Inc. in 2012 and currently is responsible for coordinating Investor Relations.

Her role is focused on providing training and support to our Dealing Representatives, ensuring proper documentation and compliance processes as well as promoting best practices in our regulatory filings.

She maintains relationships across our organization in product support and is the principal point of contact for current and new investors as a registered Dealing Representative.

Michelle is a dedicated professional with over 15 years of finance, risk assessment and management experience.

Ken is Liahona MIC’s Business Development Manager.

Growing up in Southern California, Ken graduated from Long Beach State University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Public Speaking. Several years later he returned to school and earned his MBA from Brigham Young University. He has spent 20+ years in Business Development and Finance roles in the technology, automobile manufacturing, sporting goods, and healthcare industries.

Ken and his wife, Mahana, moved from San Diego, California to Terra Cotta in 2019 with their two children, Alex and Peyton to be closer to Mahana’s parents and her other Canadian relatives. They are enjoying the changing seasons and spending time with Mahana’s family.

Ken is a hard worker with an open and friendly manner. He volunteers his time in the Terra Cotta/Caledon community and sits on the Board of Directors for the Peel Family Education Centre.

Bob is one of the founding partners of the Liahona Group of Companies. Prior to his time with Liahona he was in partnership with his son Aaron in the Public Accounting Sector.

Bob retired from the Public Accounting Sector in 2012 to devote his full time to the operations of the Liahona Group of Companies. He retired from the management of Liahona at the end of 2017 and currently serves his long-time friends, family and clients as a Dealing Representative.

Bob and his wife Lauren have been happily married for over 50 years and enjoy travel and spending time with their 4 children and 13 grandchildren.

With a diploma in Marketing from Georgian College and a background in customer and client relations, Brandon joined Liahona in February 2018 as a registered Dealing Representative after successfully completing the Exempt Market Proficiency Course through the Investment Funds Institute of Canada.

Brandon is passionate about fulfilling client needs, both through existing and new relationships.

Brandon, his wife and three children live in Tiny, Ontario and enjoy spending time building their home, being at the beach, the baseball diamond and watching his kids at dance. Brandon is a dedicated Volunteer Firefighter with The Township of Tiny Fire Department.
